MOUTOA BRANCH MEETS

Mrs. W." S. Barber presided over a weli-attended meeting of the Moutoa branch of the W.D.F.F. recently held in the Moutoa Hall. Many letters from overseas were read, all expressing thanks for food pareels received. Onc from the matron of a Scottish hospital enelosed a sheeb of paper on which the children of the ward had written their names and kisses. Special thanks were sent to the packers of the pareels. An appeal from the Moutoa Young Farmers' Club for assistance in running a Paddy's Market was discussed, and the decision was reached that this would be given on a fifty-fifty basis. The market will be held in the Moutoa Hall at the end of November. A special appeal for the leper fund in the form of a bring-and.-buy stall realised £3 6s.

Six Christmas pareels, each consisting of a cake, were packed and sent addressed to six very old semiinvalid follrin Scotland, and six of general foodstuffs to children in hospital.
