TEN YEAR OLD CRIME

Received Friday, 8.15 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 11. In the Grenfell Court today the police alleged that William Henry Lavers, who disappeared from his store in 1936, was attacked by two men who carried the body away in an old touring car. The remains of the motor. vehicle have been found after many years and may play an important part in tbe case. Frederick Lincoln McDermott, aged '38, labourer, was charged with the murder and remanded. Detective Sergeant Calman said that after the disappearance, the touring car was seen travelling towards Forbes. The body was never recovered so the case would proceed by Magisterial inquiry and not by coroner's inquest.
