ANNUAL MEETING The annual general meeting of the Otaki Croquet Club was held on Tuesday night at the residence of Mrs. Percival, Mill Road. There was a good atendance, while apologies were received from several unable to be present. It was reported that the past season had been a very satisfactory one, and that many enjoyable games had resulted. The retiring officers were warmily thanked for the services rendered during the year. Officers for the coming season were elected as follows: — President, Mrs. Cook; vice-president, Mrs. Whitelaw; secretary, Mrs. Percival (re-elected) ; captain, Mrs. Evans. The committee will comprise the above-named officers. The opening day for the coming season was fixed for Friday, October 18, at 2 p.m. Mrs. Percival afterwards entertained those present at a nice afternoon tea, when a very pleasant time was indulged in. The coming season promises to be a highly successful one. The lawn is in good order, while the membership is likely to considerably increase.
