WAR CRIMES COMMISSION Received Friday, 11.20 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 10. The United Nations War Crimes' Commission has issued an interim report pointing out that the end of the Nuremberg trials has not lessened the Commission's work of investigating war crimes in Europe and in the Pacific. In Europe the cases tried by Britain, France and America totalled 1018, in 392 ca^es of whiclr the death sentence was imposed, 438 received terms of imprisonment and there were 188 acquittted. In the Far East Britain, Australia, and the United States have charged 1120 persons, of whom 326 were sentenced to death, 554 were imprisoner, and 250 were acquitted.
