More than 150 guests at Park Lane liotel were served mily tlie lirst course. An einergeiu'y meeting of the London District Comiuittee of the National Uiiicm of General and Municipal Workers to whom the strikers belong, meets todav to eonsider paying a strike benelit which would imply for the iirst time, I'nion reeognition of the strike. Orowds of strikers tliis inoruing outside the Savoy sang: "Money is the root of all evii. " Workers at the Covent Garden and Smithfield niarkets refused to handle food for hotels all'ected by the strike. A pusser-by in the Slrand today gave oue of the pickets a eheque for £10(3 for Ihe strike hinds.
