PRELIMINARY JUDGING
AGRICULTURAL CLUB CONTESTS The judges and associate judges for the preliminary judging of the annual competitions conducted by the Horowhenua Boys' and Girls' Agriculture Club were decided at a general meeting of the ' club last Monday evening. The dates, times, schools, judges and associate judges are as follows: — Thursday, November 14: Ohau 1.30 p.m., Mr. C. E. C. Webb and Mr. J. Penny as associate. Friday, November 15: Manakau 1.30 p.m., Mr. J. H. P. Liggins with Messrs. H. Thomson and R. Hewitt. Monday, November 18: Waikanae 10.30 a.m., Reikorangi 11.15 a.m., Paraparaumu 1.30 p.m., Mr. H. J. Lancaster with Messrs. A. Horn and F. Catley. Wednesday, "November 20: Otaki 1.30 p.m., Mr. B. Robinson with Messrs. J. Horn and B. Greig. Thursday, November 21: Muhunoa 10.30 a.m. and Te Horo 1.30 p.m., Mr. A. Atkins with Mr. P. McErlean. Friday, November 22: Levin 10.30 a.m., and Poroutawhao 1.30 p.m., Mr. R. Robinson with Mr. A. Atkins, Junr. Monday, November 25: Koputaroa 1.30 p.m., Mr. R. W. Evans with Mr. D. Carle. Thursday, November 28: Makerua 9.30 a.m. and Shannon 12.30 p.m., Mr. P. R. Catley with Messrs. J. Port and T. A. Buchlan. Friday, November 29: Opiki 10.30 a.m. and Tokomaru 1.30 p.m., Mr. I. D. Parsons with Messrs. P. Elliott and J. Spiers. The last. four schools' judging dates were advanced one day as election day — a holiday — fell on Wednesday, November 27.
