CIVIC THEATRE
TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY William Bendix, Broadway stage actor who has his first starring role in the Hal Roach comedy, "Brooklyn Orchid," the current attraction at the Civic Theatre tomorrow is decidedly frank about his career and definitely not superstitious. Bendix appeared in twelve Broadway shows, and by his own admission all twelve were flops. His thirteenth attempt, however, proved eminently successful. "Demobbed," starring Norman Evans and Webster Booth, without a doubt is the funniest British comedy ever produced! It tells of the hilarious misadventures of four privates discharged from the Army and directed to employment as factory packers! And when their boss happens to be their sergeant of Army days, the fun really starts.
