WELLINGTON, Oct. 6. More of our scientific personnel were leaving the Dominion than was good for the country, said Hon. D. G. Sullivan in the House of Representatives on Saturday afternoon when the vote for the Departmerit of Scientific and Industrial Research was under consideration. The Minister added that he felt something would have to be done about the matter. Mr. A. S. Sutherland (Hauraki) considered that the loss of those officers simply meant they had been attracted away from the country by offers of higher remuneration and better conditions.
