FOXTON BEACH IMPROVEMENTS When a deputation representing the Foxton Beach Improvement Society met the Foxton Harbour Board recently, it was asked if the board would consider granting further ground at Foxton Beach for the purpose of improvements and providing of sports amenities in the luture. Mr. Buxton, a landscape garden planner, stated that he had spent some time in getting out plans of what was needed at the beach in the immediate future. These specifications included sports areas for children and adults, amusement park and car park. When asked if the area could also be planned to include an aircraft landing ground for light air taxi planes, Mr. Buxton said that provision should be made to incorporate these ideas for the future.'
