Messrs. Tpwnsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington. advise that since last rcporting small supplies of hothousc tomatoes have come to hand, these meeting with a ready sale m spite of large quantities of Island tomatoes being available. Tree tomatoes have also been sought, while an extremely keen enquiry exists for all varieties of citrus and passionfruit. Larger quantities of cut blooms have also been avail- 1 ablc; values for seasonal varieties, however, continue to meet with j keen attention. Most varieties of j vegetables have also been sought ( and naturally at this time of the j season no fresh varieties have been offered and fresh varieties havej been placed to advantage, asparagus, cauliflowers, green peas and pumpkin all being sought. . Smaller yardings of'poultry have come to hand, prime birds again being in demand.
