LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL Proposal to raise a Speeial Loan under "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926." pURSUANT to the provisions of Section 10 of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926," notice is hereby given that the Levin Borough Council proposes to seek the consent of ratepayers to the raising of a Speeial Loan of nine hundred and fifty po.unds (£956) for the purpose of purchasing: — FIRSTLY, all that parcel of land known as Lot 24, D.P. 2142, pt. Sect. 9, Township of Levin, fronting Victoria Street, together with the buildings erected thereon £350 SECONDLY, all that parcel of land known as Lot 55, D.P. 13046, pt. Sect. 8, Levin Village SeUlement, fronting Hannan Street, Levin £100 (For the purpose of proviuing an extension of Sussex Street through to Hannan Street) . THIRDLY, all that parcel of land known as Lot 1, D.P. 11351, at the corner of Queen and Chamberlain Streets, Levin £50° (.For the purpose of providing a reserve). Total £950 In connection with the proposed loan, it is proposed to borrow the said sum of £950 for a term of thirty-five (35) years, at a rate of interest not exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3/10/-) per centum per annum. Provision for repayment will be made by establishing a sinking x'und, calculated on the amount raised, of not less than one pound eleven shillings and sixpence (£l/ll/6d). per centum per annum. Loans Act, 1926," notice is hereby given that the Levin Borough Council proposes to seek the consent of ratepayers to the raising of a Speeial Loan of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£12,500) for the following purposes, i.e.: For the carrying out of improvements to the Streets and Footpaths in the Borough £9044 For the purchase of machinery, plant and equipment £2500 For contingencies £956 Total £12500 In connection with the proposed loan it is proposed to borrow the said sum of £12,500 for a term of thirty (30) years, at a rate of interest not exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3/10/-) per centum per annum. Provision for repayment will be made by establishing a sinking fund, calculated on the amount raised, of not less than two 'pounds and four pence (£2/-/4d.) per centum per annum. As security for the proposed loan it is proposed to levy a speeial annual recurring rate of two hundred and forty-four four-hun-dredths of a penny (244/400 ths. d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin.
