OTHER CHARGES PROBABLE Received Wednesday, 10.30 a.m. NUREMBERG, Oct. 1. American Government legal ofticers in Berlin said that if any of the three aequitted returned to the Americon zone they would probably be tried by the Germans under the de-Nazification laws, which carry penalties of up to ten years' imprisonment. Schacht and von Papen owned property in more thah one zone, and there is thus some doubt as to which they will return. It is chought that the Russians might get custody of Fritsche, whom they irrested in Berlin and delivered to Nuremberg. In Nuremberg today Herr Hoegner, the Bavarian Prime Minister, said: "Von Papen faces trial by the De-Nazification Board if he remains in the American zone." In Vienna the Austrian Ministry of Justice announced that it is seeking the extradition of von Schacht and von Papen for trial for their part in the anschluss. Von Papen told the Press after his acquittal that his first wish was to rejoin his wife and two children, and then "disappear never to see the Press again." The three aequitted Nazis Were orought into the Press room at Nuremberg for an interview, which in American army officer promised :hem would be "short and snappy." Von Papen, smiling, spol^e in Snglish. Fritsche said he was going to find liberty diflicult and har.d to deal with. The Prison commandant, ColQnel Andrus, emphasised that the three icquitted were cornpletely free. They had been given letters reveal!ng that they had been aequitted and asking the military authorities lo help them get identity cards.
