SNOW AT TAUPO

Snow fell in Taupo township on Sunday night and was the heaviest in living memborv, and the third heavy fall in the last 50 years. On Mondav morning it was an inch deep and covered the whple of the Taupo zoire and as far as the eye could see, even to the north, which had not before seen snow. Mount Tauhara, which was complotelv clothed even to the' northem spurs, was a magnifieent sight. The snow commenced to fall about midnight and continued steadilv for five hours.
