SEAMEN FOR SENTENCE
SEQUEL TO SMASH AND GRAB RAID ' NAPIER, Oct. 1. Two seamen frcm the Port Jack>on, James Connor Till, 27, and Srnest Harold Thomas Melville, 26, vere charged in the Police Court rnday with breaking and e'ntering McClurg's, Ltd., Napier, and the heft of jewellery valued at £576 8s. -Both pleaded guilty and vere committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence. The charges were the sequel to the smash and grab raid at McClurg's-,. Ltd., jewellers, early on' Saturday morning last, When the men were arrested by a member of the night patrol, Constable G. F. Stentiford.
