AMERICAN TROOPS STONED
INCIDENT IN VENEZIA GIULIA Received Tuesday, 10 a.m. TRIESTE, Sept. 30. A group of about twenty-five civilians, whom iilvestigating officers identified as Italian members of pro-Jugoslav Communist organisations ambushed and stoned ten American soldiers last night. It is „he first incident since United States troops moved into and occupied Venezia Giulia. One soldier suffered a lacerated head and severel others were bruised. Seven were arrested.
