MINIATURE RIFLES
SHANNON'S WEEKLY SHOOT There was a good gathering of marksmen and markswomen at the weekly shoot of the Shannon Miniature Rifle Club, held in the Druids' Hall on Wednesday evening. The shooting was of a very high standard and some good targets were returned by both the senior and junior members. Once again the lady members were well up on the score sheet. Wednesday's shoot marked the closing of the junior and ladies' section activities for the season. Competition was' keen for the shoot-off. The winners of the various groups will be announced when the club holds its welcome home dance and presentation of prizes on October- 17. The -senior section will hold their final shoot next Wednesday evening. The individual scores of last week's shoot are as follows: — Senior section (possible 100) : I. Hemmingsen 97, N.
