FATALITY IN COAL MINE
Received Sunday, 7 p.m. BR18BANK, Sept. 20. Two men lost their lives in a fire 750 feet below the surface in Aberdare colliery. Thirty members of the fire rescue squadj working in relays beeause of tlie intense 'lieat, reeovered the bodies. After one of the men who was a mine inspection deputy, declared the section safe for working, he and the other went below. Severn! hours later it w.as discovered tliat a fire had broken out in the passagoway between the men and safety. Rescue sqnads hoped to find both alive but when tliey were broughl out it was found they were asphyxiat od.
