WEDDING

♦— — TAYLOR — SAVELL All Saints' Church, Otaki, was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, with masses of spring flowers, for the marriage of Margaret Frances Winifred, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Savell, Levin, to Eric Newton, second son of Mr. and the late Mrs. N. J. Taylor, New Plymouth. The ceremony was conducted by Canon Fry. Mrs. W. C. Fiebig sang a solo, "O, Promise me," during the signing of the register, and Mrs. Gibson. Foster, of Wellington, played the organ.. The bride, who was escorted by her f ather, wore a gown of cream figured wore a gown of cream-figured satin, and her veil, which was held in place by a coronet of hand-macfe lace, hung in graceful folds to form part of her train. She carried a sheaf of scarlet flowers. She was attended by two flower girls, Miss Catherine Mortiboy and Miss Linette ' McLean, who wore floor-length frocks of cream morocain and carried Victorian posies of scarlet flowers, which matched their coronets. They also wore Shamrock brooches of paua, which were their gifts from the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. C. Webster, of Wellington. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Savell received the guests at a reception in the Anglican Hall, where the usual toasts were honoured and cables and telegrams were read. The happy couple later left by car for the north. Their future home will be in Otaki.
