The Contmander-in-Chief of the Fighter Command, Air Chief Marshal Sir James Robb, announced that the lughspeed flight would not nmke anothu" attack on the airspeed record this yeur. (h'Oup Captain Donaldson has reiurned from Tangmere to his lionie station in the record breaking machine, averaging (100 miles an hour for the 9.1 miles. Tlie Times ' aviation writer sav.de Havilland are taking a D.I1.-108 tail less machine to Tangmere on Oetober 1 and a record bid will probably be made .soon after its arrival there.
