STRANDED WITHOUT FUNDS
Received Fridav, 7.15 p.m. LOXDOX, Sept. 27. Alost of Ihe 41 passengers who set out from Britain for Australia aboard the >l-ton former naval launch Theylis, are stranded at Port Said witliout fuiuls. The Daily Express Port Said corresjiondent says the owner, who was a former meiuber of the R.A.F., lilled the vessel by advertising outside Australia Ilouse, jiassages without priority reslrictions. Tlie passengers, including a couplc with a lifteen-months-old baby, ptiid np (o £200. The vessel sailed from Britain si.y weeks ago but ovving to bait weather was laiil up at Dover for a week. Another delav occurred at Alalta. Some of the passengers, including the parents and baby, were transferred to another ship but niost of the remainder, who sold up before sailing, are novv homeless.
