Personal Mrs. Klink, mother of Mrs. Lumley, of Otaki, is seriously ill at her homg in Pohangina. Flight-Lieut'enant Manz, who has been overseas for some time, is expected to arrive in Auckland today. Otaki's Rainfall The rainfall at Otaki for the 48 hours up to 9 a.m. yesterday was 103 points. Rowling Opening On account of the wet condition of the Otaki Railway Club's bowling green, all games for the weekend have been postponed, but the official opening will take place. The following rink will represent the Otaki Club at Paraparaumu tomorrow: J. and C. Pike, R. Eaton and C. Grey (s) . Card Afternoon Members of the Otaki Municipal Croquet Club met at the residence of Mrs. McBeth yesterday afternoon and indulged in card games for the purpose of spending a pleasant afternoon, and raising money for the club. There was quite a good attendance and games were very enjoyable and well contested. Mrs. Cook was the winner of the prize for bridge, while Mrs. Mould annexed that given for the 500,
