Invitations to Bowlers The secretary of the Shannon Bowling Club has received many invitations from neighbouring clubs to attend the opening of their clubs. The Shannon Club has not as yet decided upon an opening day. Whitebait Catches Throughout the present whitebait season some very good catches have been reported in -the Manawatu River. Last Friday local nshermen had one or two good catches, but since the week-end the bait have ceased to run in any quantity. The present fresh in the river wiil also hinder the fish.
