Canadian squatters, operating in the same fashion as in .Britain, ;eized accommodation for about 40 families in a building formerly used for instruction, despite the opposition of the Royal Canadian Police and naval personnel. The movement was carried out by the Ottawa Vcterans' Housing League. The families were delivered in a truck convoy which smashed through the gates to the buildings.
