Sir, — It is not my usual practice ! to reply to anonymous letters to the !Press, but the letter published on 1 September 17 , and signed by "One i Who Helped Raise the Funds" calls ■ for- some reply. If the writer had taken the trouble to approach a ' member of the committee he would | have no doubt been able to see the ' terms of the contract, as signed by the contractors. This would have 'been,, far better than suggesting ithat there was something crooked about the actions of the commitI tee. Seeing your correspondent ' knows so much about the building trade, I wonder if he would care to take a trip to Palmerston North ahd get the building controller to sign his name on the dotted line.
