DISORDERS AND STRIKES IN AMSTERDAM
PROTEST AT SENDING TROOPS TO INDONESIA Received W.edpesday, 10.10 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 14. According to Hilversum radio, the police operied fire several times against crowds in Amsterdam demonstrating against the sending of troops to Indonesia. The radio added that the crowds stoned the police and several persons were detained. The Associated Press correspondent in Amsterdam says the stoppage of work in protest against the sending of Dulch tt.roops >to Indonesia is assuming the yharacter of a general striJke.
