He thought those selected to make the trip to the jamboree should be given instructiou by someone who uuderstood physical training. "I am liere today in the dual capacity as Governor General and Dominion Chief Scout. I shall, in my period of offi.ee, do everything ta - further the movement which piTivides the best moral training which a boy or girl could have to make them worthy men and women of tomorrow. "■ The Chief Scout was Aveleomed by Air Marslial Sir Robert Clark Hall who pre sided. The Prime Minister thanked the Association for the fine work it had always done in times of stress and assured the meeting the Government would do all it could to assist in sending a party tothe World Jamboree, though he addeil these were difficult times. Referring to the appointment of Sir Bernard Freyberg as Chief Scout, Mr. Fraser said there was no quality of a good Scout that Sir Bernard did not possess. Boys would fmd something to enthuse over and emulate in the life of their Chief Scout. Many'referenees were made to the retirement thi$higlx ill-health of the Chief CommiSsioner, Mr. H. Christie. Regret was expressed itt a motion aecepting his resighatioo. Until the resignation has been cohfirmed by Cmperial Headqtiarters and a ttew appointment made, k*. F. W. Horher, Deputy Chief Commissioner will act in Mr. Christie 's- stead.
