Memorial To Dead Unveiled ANNIVERSARY OF BATTLE

Received Wednesday, 10.30 a.m. AMSTERDAM, Sept. 17. Marking the second anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem, Queen Wilhelmina unveiled a memorial to the British dead opposite the hotel whieh was the former headquarters of the First Airborne Division, and placed a wreath on the memorial. Major-General R. E. Urquhart, who led the airborne troops, and fifty British airborne troops were present, and also 250 relatives of the men who had been killed at Arnhem. The anniversary was also marked by the release of a special film, "Theirs is the Glory," wherein the exploits of the Airborne Division in that desperate battle are recapitulated. The fllm has already been seen in London by critics, who acclaim it as one of the most notable British films produced in recent years. It will be seen by his Majesty at a special premiere at Balmoral. The people of the village, despite food rationing, hospitably entertained the British party, whieh sailed from Harwich for Holland on September 15. Among the relatives were Mr. and Mrs. J. Baskeyfield, of Tunstall, whose late son, Sergeant J. D. Baskeyfield. won the V.C. at Arnhem. Their expenses are being paid by the Airborne Forces Security Fund
