Within the. scope of the 2?. ]»er eent trade allocation allowed 011 prewar exports by the former Uombined Pood Board at Washingtun, Xew Zealand is 11OW liiaking small sliijunents of dairy produce as shipjiing is available, to the X'ear East. This is to re-cstablish prc war trade coiniections. Uhcese has al ready been sent to India and Malaya through export eommercial agencies whieh had been allocated expori quotas. The Xew Zealand Export Marketing Department, 011 behalf of the British Ministry of Supply, sent a quantity oi milk powder and sweetened condensed inillc to Iloiig Kong. Because of laek of adniinistrative control aud of valid import ccrtilieates at ports of delivery, exports to Cliina have been delayed but authority has now been reeeived for Xew Zealand to sliip a quantity oi liroduee to Shanghai. Future exports to Shanghai and Ilong Kong wili be made through established comniercia! agencies.
