LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS IN GERMANY
GUIDE TO POLITICAL OPINION Received Monday, 10.15 a.m. HAMBURG, Sept. 15. It is estimated that 90 per cent. of the voters polled in the small towns and villages throughout the British zone of Germany in the elections for borough and parish councils to replace the present nominated bodies. The results, which will be available to-morrow, will be the first measure of political opinion in this part of Germany. The town districts are voting later. Elections were also held in all districts of the French zone and in the Russian zone municipalities of Brandenburg and Mecklenburg.
