The Jewish terrrorist orgauisatioh, Irgun Zvai Leumi announoed ihe coinjjlete rupture of relations with tlie Jewish resistane.e movement, Ilaganah, iir a dramatie broadeast over its uiiderground radio. j Tlie speaker said ihe Irgun Zvai Leumi was now quite alone, ( hui stressed that it was never so strong and a new era was be- ' ginning for ihe Jewish resistance. While previonsly there had always been a skort break between attaeks they would now e.ontinue witbout interruption.
The speaker indirectly implied the organisation's responsibility for the Jaffa bank attaeks by declaring that Irjin Zvai Leumi had to procure money by all possible means, owing to a lack of funds. Search in Tel Aviv Paratroopers of the 6th Airborne Division threw up barbed wire roadblocks, in the centre of Tel Aviv, and began a search for Jewish terrorists who raided a bank in the city on Friday. Twenty-three young Jews were arrested early this morning in a surprise search of Haifa, and were transferred to the Rafah detention camp in south Palestine. A Jew was slightly wounded in the Old City of Jerusalem this afternoon, when unidentified Arabs lired on three Jews. The Arab Higher Executive in a note to the Palestine Government declined the responsibility for anything that happened if Jewish acts of terrorism recurred in the Arab
quarter. The executive has called a special meeting of the Arab Boycott Committee to discuss a further tightening of the boycott against Zionist goods.
