The'friends of Mr. A. Burkq will regret to hear that he is confined to his bed on account of illness. Mr. Stewart Gledhill, of Ohakune, accompanied by his brotherT , Mr. Jack Gledhill, were visitors to Mr. , I. Easton, Buckley, during the week. ■ Miss P. Small, of the Shannon Dairy Company's office staff, is off duty on account of, illness. Her many friends wish her a speedy. recovery. The friends of Mrs. Jensen, of Ballance Street, who has been an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital for many months, will be pleased to hear that she has been able to return to he'r home. Her many friends join in wishing her a speedy and complete recovery.
