WELLINGTON, Sent. 13. The Avro Lincoln bomiier of the R.A.F. Oentral Bomber Establishment, which left Blackbush, Surrey, England, af 4.15 a.m7 on September 9 for Austraiia, New Zealand and the Far East, on the R.A.F. ;s first overseas bomber liaison mission, is expecled at Oltakea about 3 p.m. on September 23. A signal reeeived by the Air Department today stated that the bomber had been delayed about 25 hours at Changi (Singapore) where she was due on September • 11, but this delay will not affect the) aireraft's arrival in. New Zealand as the lost time will probably be made up in Austraiia. The bomber called at Lydda (Palestine) and Afauripur (India). She wasj expeeted at Darwin from Singapore at one minute before mid night on September 12 but her arrival there will probably be some time today. From Darwin the Lincoln will fly to Alelbourne and Sydney and thenee to Oh&kea.- ' The bomber, which will be the biggest R.A.F. bomber ever to visit New Zealand, will stay at Ohakea until the afternoon of September 27 when it will fly to Whenuapai, remaining there until October 1. At 7 a.m. on October 1 the aireraft will take off for Townsville (Austraiia) 011 the first stage of the , fliglit home. 'She is due baclt in the ' United Kingdom on October 15, making , the tour one of 36 days. The purpose of the mission is to diseuss with the , R.N.Z.A.F. and R.A.A.F., bombej tae- ' tics and investigate their individual bomber problems. A fairly comprehen- ! sive- programme of lectures and demonstrations for R.N.Z.A.F. personnel has ! been arranged in New Zealand. Senior officers of the service will ' meet the aireraft on arrival at Ohakea. Air ealls will be. made at Wellington ' where the erew will stay on Septembef 25 and September 26. I
