Personal 'l'ne xtev. Mr. Watson, of Wellington, was among the visitors to Otaki yesterday. Mr. E. T. Bartosh, who is on a visit to Wanganui, was among the successful exhibitors at the Wanganui flower show. Mr. H. Watts, who has been in indifferent health for some time, is at present a patient at the Palmerston North Hospital. Messrs. D. Stuart and Alan Berry have returned to Canterbury College after enjoying the vacation in Otaki. Rainfall The rainfall in Otaki for the 24 hous up to 9 a.m. on Thursday was .45 inches. Confirmation Service A confirmation service was held at All Saints' Church, Otaki, iast night, when a number of candidates wore confirmed by Bishop Bennett. Otaki Hall Facilities During a discussion at the Otaki Borough Council meeting on Wednesday, relative to a hall for Otaki, it was stated that thc Civic Theatre was too small for purposes desired, and that if another hall was to be.built the present theatre could be used for social gauierings and the new one for cinema purposes.
