There was a satisfactory attendance, and considerable interest was taken in the proceedings. The season was highly •successful and enjoyable. The club's performance in finishing runners-up to the Levin Club was a creditable effort, and our congratulations are extended to the Levin Club on winning the eompetition. "From the financial point of view your committee has had great difflculty in making both ends meet, and regrets that a healthier balance is not presented. "Our congratulations are extended to H. F. Rice, who gained Wellington representative honours and ro H. F. Rice, M. Campbell and T. V. Cahill, who were chosen to represent Horowhenua. "The averages on the whole were not very impressive, but the bowling performance of R. Gurney is to be highly commended and we congratulate him on his season's bowling. His 99 wickets at an average of 5.37 was an outstanding performance. The batting averages were headed by H. F. Rice, who scored 585 runs at an average of 34.41. Friendly games were played during the season on Sundays, one against the Karori Club and another against the Palmerston North R.S.A., while other local games were arranged and an enjoyable day's outing was had on each occasion. We trust that these will continue during the coming season. "It is the opinion of your committee that serious consideration must be given to the preparation of a wicket on the domain, and a working bee will be arranged at an early date and all members are requested to make a special effort to land a hand in this important work. "The committee wishes to thank Mr. E. J. Bartosh for the use of his truck for conveying members to matches played away from Otaki."
