CRIPPLED CHILDREN APPEAL
STREET DAY BRINGS £84 Despite the number of street days held in Levin recently, that conducted on Tuesday by the Levin branch of the Crippled Children Society had a very satisfactory result, a nett sum of £84 3s 3d being raised. The effort took the form of a stall and street collection. The former was well stocked with saleable goods and they sold readily. The street collectors found the .public anxious to assist the spciety's work ahd in addition to making a contribution to the bokCs a number enrolled as members, paying the annual subscription of five shillings. The hope was expressed that more citizens would become members, and those desiring to do so may communicate with Mrs. W. H. Walker.
