WEEKLY S'ALE IN LEVIN Another fai-r yarding of fat sheep | came forward at the Levin weekly stock sale yesterday ahd the prices showed a slight increase on last week's sale. Actop price bf the season was 43s lOd for fat wethers was realised. A yarding of hoggets of exceptionally good quality sold up to 40s lOd. A fair yarding of store sheep was forwarded and, the first ewes and lambs of the season were- entered, making 16s 9d all eounted. Good quality store l'arnbs were not in demand, but medium to small lambs changed hands with values on a par with recent saies. A pen of good wbolly two and four to'oth wethers made 31s 3d. There Was another fair entry of fat Cattle; and the prices for prime quality ox rose to £21, while prime' quality heifers made up to £15 2s 6d and prime quality cows £14 17s 6d. A small yarding of inferibr veal came fbrward, but t'hese were not keenfy sou'ght after, the lot being mainly bought by graziers. There was also a large yarding of dair^ heifers, and heifers a-nd ex-d'airy cows sold in advance of last week, good heifers making to £15 5s. Yearling Jersey heifers made to- £5 17s- 6d', while boners and potters sold at late market rates. A fair yarding- of pigs came forward and prices were on a par with. recent saies. Store pigs were entered in large numbers and were keenly sought after, selling to £3 14s. Sheep: Extra prime fat wethers, 43s 4d to 44s lOd; prime, 40s lOd to 41s 4d; prime b.f. wethers, 38s ld; light and unfinished wethers, 33s 4d to 37s lOd; prime fat ewes, 32s 4d to 32s lOd; lighter, 29s lOd to 30s lOd; light and unfinished-, 20s to 26s; prime b.f.s, 38s ld; lighter, 32s 7d to 33s 7d; extra prime hoggets, 40s ld to 40s 10d;- prime, 37s 7d to 38s lOd, lighter, 27s lOd to 34s 4d; 5-year-old ewes with b.f. lambs at foot, 16s 9d all eounted; b.f. ewes in lamb, 26s 6d; 2-th. and 4th. woolly wethers, 31s 3d; small and cull lambs, 8s 3d, 11s 3d to 18s.
