Ths police allcged that at 11.40 p.iii. yesferda3r, at Ihe palatial Htewart- Dawson home at tlie fashionably north coast suburb of Palm Beacli an altercation aroso while a party was in progress. It is claimed lliat defeudent took a pistol from his pocket and fired a shot which struck Maekay in the groin. Mackay is in hospital and the bullet has not been removed but the police state that he.is not in immediate danger. In applying lor a remand tlie Police prosecutor asked that the seriousness of the allegation might be taken into consideration in decifiing hail. A remand was granted and bail was lixed at £200 with one surety of £200 or two of £100 eaeh. David Htewart Dawson is a grandson of the late Princess Ilarriet Radziwill, widow of the late Htewart Dawson, with wliom she came to Australia shortly after the last war, About 1927 she married Prince Michael Radziwill, a meinber of a wealthy Polish family, who was also cousin of the ex-Kaiser and was linked with the Imperial House of Russia. Hhe died in Hydney on October 12 last year. David has one 'sister Harriet aged 21. Ile is married and served in the armv for a periocl during the war. He recently returned to Australia from England which he visited on behalf of tlie Dawson estates of which he is d hector.
