August Weather During the month of August rain fell at No. 1 dam. Mangahao, on 27 days and registered 28.5 inches. At Mangaore there were 21 wet days and the rainfall measured 8.51 inches. August temperatures in the shade . at Shannon were as follows, those in_'parentheses being for August last year: — Highest day temperature 56 degrees (64p registered on the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 8th, 13th, 17th and 23rd: lowest day temperature 50 degrees (54), registered on the 28th. The highest night temperatui^ was 52 degrees (54) registered on t.he 5th. The lowest night temperature was 34 degrees (28) on the 30th.
