PersonaJ Mr. E. T. Bartosh, who has been on a visit to the South Island, retur'ned to Otaki on Tuesday. The friends of Mrs. R. Jury, of Foxton and "formerly of Otaki, will be pleased to learn that she has been able to leave liospital after her serious operation. Mr. Frank Shaw, who recently underwent a serious operation, is likely to be in the Wellington Hospital for some time, it bcing probable that he will have to undergo another operation. Small Whitebait Catches Only very small catches of whitebait are recorded in Otaki. At Foxton last week there was a gooa "run" for three of four days. An Unusual Visilor A sea iion has been seen lately on Foxton Beach. Last week Mr. W. Woodham carne across him about four rniles north of the Heads. He was then resting well up on the beach, but as soon'as approached made oll to sea again. A dead porpoise was washed up on the north beach last week.
