Received Thursday, 9.50 a.m. HEREFORD, Sept. 5. British headquarters have announced that they arrested a Red Air Force officer and his female companion on the Dutch frontier. They came from the Russian zone in Germany in an aeroplane. Reuter's correspondent says the capture of the officer revealed a blackmarket in adventure. % The officer's name is given as Captain JPononarev. He landed ' in a field in the United States zone, buried his uniform, and with a" Russian and German companion passed into the British zone. He was not detected until he went to .Holland where he attracted attention by attempting to sell currency of 60,000 roubles, several hundred thousand occupation marks, watches and rings, these alleged to be the proceeds of robberies committed in the Russian zone. The Dutch police took the pair into custody but they escaped to the border. Russian liaison officers in the British zone are taking charge of the couple.
