WELLINGTON, Sept. 3„ Situation: A depression centred north-east of North Auckland is moving away eastwards, while there is a ridge of high pressure from Australia to the South Island. The forecast to 5 p.m. on Wednesday is for moderate easterly winds, fresh in a few exposed positions. Weather fair, though cool with a risk of frosts to-night. Further outlook: Fair.
