Tlie stewards reprimanded the jockey Mulley for over confidence after his mount Bornborough seored its eleventh snccessive win in the Warwick Stakes at Randwick. Bornborough made his run from fiftli at tlie half mile, keeping elose to the fence as a change from his usual praetice of running wide. The kfeiliourne jockey, Bougoure, on Abbeville, was afterwards cautioned for an ineident which occurred when Bernborougb looked to be caught between Abbeville and tlie rails. The ehampion pushed its way through and overtook Magnificent who was Jeading. In the last. fifty yards Mulley was seen to be standing in the sfirrups with a firm hold of the reins. Bernborough won *by a neck. The New Zealanders Hiraji and Lord Barwon were unsuccessful in the Ilobartville Stakes. Hiraji performed the better of tlie two, eoming home very strongly to finish in fourth position. Lord Barwon did not show well over tlie distance which may be too short for him. He started badlv and had to be checked 011 the home turn after clip{ling tlie -heels of anotlier horse. He stayed in sixth position throughout the race. Other New Zealanders at Randwick ineluded Foolfox who rau irinth in the Three Year Old Ilandicap and Night Robe who was eighth in the first division of the Glenlee Handieap. - rrhe Epsom favourite Shannon gave Darby Munro his first win in Sydney since last autumn when he came home easily in the Campbelltown Handieap, carrying top weight. At Newcastle Homeleigh Diek was ridden to victory in the thousand pound Cameron Ilandicap by Lennie Dalmsley whose lifetime disqualification was recently revoked. At Mentone the New Zealand mare Eagle Flight, who had been well supported for the Caulfield Cup, broke down in the Epsom Cup and two other Caulfield faneies, Gala Chief and Lunar Lvnx, fell. Eagle Flight, wliicli started favourite, was very lame when halted.
