The New Zealander "s form was not good and from the start liurus looked the winner. In the last contest Gordon coutinuaily went aiter Burns but last niglit he was eontinually 011 the defensive. Ilis only real score was a right to Burns' jaw in the Jirst round. During the second round Burns built up points with liooks and right crosses. Early in the third round he hainmcred Gordon 's jaw with a barrage of left liooks wl'iieh knoeked the New Zealander out of the ring where he lay jirone and out for the first time in eighty iights. Gordon 's jaw is badly swollen and will be X-rayed toniorrow,
