Pcrson^i Mrs-. Bert Vinsen, of Stratford, is spending a few days with her son and daughtert-in-law,. Mr. and Mrs. R. Vinsen, Vance Street. Mr. Frank Thurston, of the Bank of New Zealand staff, is spending a few days in Taihape for the school jubilee celebrations. The friends of Mr. Doug. Aitchison, who has been conflned to his bed for the past week, will be pleased to hear that he is up and about again. The friends of Mrs. Bob Vinsen, Vance Street, who has been an inmate of the Levin Hospital, will be very pleased to hear .that she was able to return to her home on Sunday-1 . A Quiet Saturday L^st Saturday was one of the quietest experienced for many months. The Foxton races drew a good crowd of locals ou£ of town. Many who would not otherwise attend a race meeting took the opportunity of spending a day in the • bright- sunshine, the first experienced for some time, while the Horowhenua-Bush rugby representative match attracted a number of football followers.
