Miss Joan Clough, daughter oi Mr. and. Mi*s. Frank Clough, oi Grey Street, is spending a holiday at Hamilton. Mr. G. Wood, of Wellington, is ; spending a f ew days with his pari ents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Wood, Venh Street. A visitor from Gisborne is Mr, Maurice Peach, who is the guest of his parents, Mr. .and Mrs. F. C. Peach,- Ballance Street. Miss Shirley Easton, who has been an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital for six months, has improved to the extent that she is now able to sit up hi bed. Ted Peach, son of Mr. and Mrs. ; F. C. Peach, Ballance Street, has •been confined to his bed for some | time and all his school pais join in j wishing him a speedy recovery. .. ! Mr. C. Veale, Stafford Street, whd suffered a compound fracture of a ' leg as the result of a motor acci- , dent many months ago, recently 1 underwent a further operation. His friends will be pleased to hear that j he is making good progress towards : recovery.
