CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 1. The New Zealand women 's liockey tournament opeued yesterday in fine cold weather with tlie grounds in fair order. Tweuty teams have entered for the tournament. whieh will be played in four seetions. Section winners will play oi! on Fridav and tlie fnial for the K Cup and Floyd Shield will be played on Saturday. Results: • A seetion: Auckland 7. South Otago 1, Rangitikei 3, Otago B 1. B seetion: Wairarapa 1, Eastern South land 0. Ashburton A 5. Buller 0. C seetion: Canterbury B 2, South Canterbury 1, Wellington A 2, Oentral Otago 1. 14 section; Wellington B 4, Nelson 3, Canterbury A 10, Wanganui l.
