Infornied that Mr. le Prou was still inside the building lirenien made an inunediate effort to reacli him and he escaped in his night attire as smoke enveloped his quarters. The outbreak occurred at nine o'eloek. The brigade gained control within 15 miuutes, althougii severe structural damage was caused.
