TO-DAY AND TO-MORROW Newest and most exciting of Tarzan's breath-taking filmic adventures, "Tarzan and the Amazons," opens at the Renown Theatre on Friday with Johnny Weissmuller and little Johnny Sheffield again in their famiiiar roles, and a new "Jane," Brenda Joyce, in the feminine lead. The new offering • revolves around a tribe of warrior women living in a hidden valley in Africa. To preserve their independence, the Amazons kill any intruder discovering the secret entrance to their country, and this brings about dramatic action when Jane, returning from England, is accompanied by a group of scientists who urge Tarzan to lead them to the valley. Tarzan refuses, but the men induce Boy to act as their guide and invade the mountain retreat. They are captured by the women, and- thrilltf pile up to a stirling climax.
