SEMPLE-DAWSON DUO

NAPIER, August 25. Accompanied by the baritone, Mr. Peter Dawson, the Minister of Works, Mr. Semple sang ' 'Waltzing Matilda" on the stage at a pnhlic meeting at Napier tonight. At the conclusion of the Minister 's address Mr. Dawson, who was in the audience, rose and said that he understood that "Waltzing Matiida" was Mr. Semple 's favourite song. He thereupon went up on the stage and to the delight of the audience the Minister and Mr. Dawson sang a duet.
