George l'urdoin, agod 29, a driver, and Thoiuas Gordon, aged JS, a driver, were jointly charged in the Magistrate s Court today with breaking and enteruig the warehouse of Munt, Cottrell, Ltu.. in Tinakori Road, and stealing R! motoi triiek tyres valued at £,'576 9s. At the request of Senior-Detoctive L. II. Compton, they were renianded ti 1 ; September 4. Mr. G. C, Ivent, for Purdom, and Mr. G. Joseph, for Gordon, asked for bait. Deteetive Compton said the aecused j were found on the premises with n truck and pursued and later arrested. "Were they taking advantage of the eleetrical blackoul?" asked Mr. J. n. Stout, SAT. Deteetive Compton said it was during a blaekout. Bail was allowed each at £250, with 1 two sureties of £150 each.
